This movie revolves around a character named Elliott. Elliot is a high school student and she has now turned 18. Her parents threw her a birthday party at home. Elliot has two best friends namely Ro and Ruthie with whom she is ready to go camping. Ro has brought some hallucinogenic mushrooms with her so they can enjoy them while camping.

The trio sets the tend and puts those mushrooms in the tea. Elliot doesn’t feel anything while on the other hand, her friends are knocked off. Suddenly; an older woman who looks very similar to Elliot appears before her and she states that she is her older self. At this point, Elliot doesn’t believe her at first but slowly they start to bond. The older Elliot starts to share stories about her past and how she shouldn’t neglect her family as she will leave for college very soon. The older Elliott also warns her to stay away from a boy named Chad. 

The next day as Elliot was skinny dipping in the water she met a boy named Chad. His name freaked her out and she immediately called the older Elliot who had saved her number as my old ass in the phone beforehand. Chand and Elliot meet a few more times and they start to bond.

The older Elliot confesses that Chad will die and that it will break her heart and she should try and stay away from him as much as possible. Elliot tries but fails and soon she confesses her feelings to Chad and he reciprocates them too. 

Chad and Elliot do not give up on each other and they grow even fonder against the warnings of older Elliot. The older Elliot confirms that she has to leave and she gives her blessing to the younger Elliot and says her last goodbye.
